RESEARCH ON THE “SHARPNESS” IN LIGHTING EVALUATION :

As a system with three axes for evaluating the lighting and visual environment of a space, brightness of space, sharpness, and warmness was proposed. In this paper, in order to quantify the sharpness, image projection experiments, basic space experiments, and evaluation experiments in actual stores were carried out, and proposed and improved a predictive equation. As a result of examining numerical values representing luminance distribution and its relationship with impression evaluation, a formula using luminance range values was proposed, and verified its usefulness through experiments in actual stores.

Abstract

As a system with three axes for evaluating the lighting and visual environment of a space, brightness of space, sharpness, and warmness was proposed. In this paper, in order to quantify the sharpness, image projection experiments, basic space experiments, and evaluation experiments in actual stores were carried out, and proposed and improved a predictive equation. As a result of examining numerical values representing luminance distribution and its relationship with impression evaluation, a formula using luminance range values was proposed, and verified its usefulness through experiments in actual stores.
