Sustainable production of iron oxide nanoparticles for application in healthcare and cleanup of contaminated regions

Metal oxide nanoparticles (NPs) have recently gained significant commercial traction for their many potential uses. One major worry in this field of study is the toxicity of these nanomaterials. Recent developments in nanotechnology have led to metal oxide nanoparticles finding use in a wide range of industrial, medicinal, and environmental technology applications. The environmentally friendly production of these particles is a promising strategy for reducing their toxicity and making them suitable for use in consumer goods for humans. Despite being an innocent method, the use of microbes and plant extracts in the biological synthesis of metal oxide NPs offers great hope for the development of biocompatible and economically viable particles that could find use in healthcare. Cancer treatment, namely the use of nanotechnology to enhance current therapeutic procedures, is an essential topic that requires study. Among the many benefits of metal oxide NPs as a therapeutic agent is their low immunogenicity, long half-life, and therapeutic index. Researchers in this study examined the size, shape, crystallinity, aggregation, phase phases, stability, and magnetism of green nanomagnetic iron oxide particles made using an environmentally friendly method. The following methods were used for characterization: XRD, SEM, TEM, FTIR, and VSM. Stability, magnetic characteristics, and antioxidant activity were also assessed. The use of iron oxide nanoparticles has greatly advanced biotechnology and medical applications. These nanoparticles possess exceptional properties like size, biocompatibility, and superparamagnetism, which have been instrumental in cell separation and detection, tissue repair, drug delivery, and magnetic hyperthermia. This page provides an overview of the many ways iron oxide nanoparticles are made and the many useful things they can do. All things considered, the most up-to-date methods, problems, and obstacles, surface modification, and contemporary uses of iron oxide nanoparticles are taken into account. Finally, the review wraps up by discussing the potential future uses of these nanomaterials in a variety of environmental contexts, and it also addresses the challenges that may arise.

Recent developments in nanotechnology have led to metal oxide nanoparticles finding use in a wide range of industrial, medicinal, and environmental technology applications.
