EXIGENCE Project

This presentation outlines the Exigence Project's strategy, impact, and progress regarding sustainability and energy efficiency metrics across major Standards Development Organisations (SDOs). The project focuses on tackling the challenge of rising energy consumption by enabling "eco-data" measurement, optimising services at the provisioning level, and creating economic incentives for carbon reduction. The slides highlight successful project contributions, specific use cases, and requirements submitted to 3GPP (SA1 and SA2) and the IETF/IRTF (specifically the GREEN working group). It concludes with key operational lessons on how to effectively navigate long standardization lifecycles through community engagement, leadership roles, and consensus-building.
