Various approaches have been implemented to address food allergies and anaphylaxis in the events sector. Among these, technology-based solutions, notably mobile applications, have gained prominence. This case study, grounded in signaling theory, seeks to identify the types and mechanisms of food allergy applications and to understand how these applications can mitigate information asymmetry among stakeholders in event settings. The goal of this study is to contribute to establishing proactive and inclusive initiatives for future event management.
