Can an asteroid create a super volcano at the antipode of Earth;

This presentation provides geological evidence correlating mass extinction events with concurrent asteroid impacts. By mapping the geographic coordinates of these phenomena on the terrestrial globe, we demonstrate an antipodal spatial relationship between the impact sites and the corresponding geological or biological disruptions. Finally, we examine two analogous case studies within the Solar System, illustrating how a catastrophic impact on a planetary body can induce significant geological anomalies at its exact hemisphere antipode due to seismic shock wave focusing.

Abstract

This presentation provides geological evidence correlating mass extinction events with concurrent asteroid impacts. By mapping the geographic coordinates of these phenomena on the terrestrial globe, we demonstrate an antipodal spatial relationship between the impact sites and the corresponding geological or biological disruptions. Finally, we examine two analogous case studies within the Solar System, illustrating how a catastrophic impact on a planetary body can induce significant geological anomalies at its exact hemisphere antipode due to seismic shock wave focusing.
