Multi-Replica Integrated Cryptography Model Combining AES and ECC for Robust and Fault-Tolerant Cloud Storage Systems
The traditional cloud storage systems face various issues, such as system failures, unauthorized access, and data breaches due to limitations like data redundancy and a lack of robust security mechanisms. Hence, to solve these issues, this paper proposes a Multi-Replica Integrated Cryptography model that implements the advantages of both symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic techniques along with a dual-tree replica architecture. The Multi-Replica Integrated Cryptography model integrates Advanced Encryption Standard for rapid data encryption and elliptic curve cryptography for secure key exchange and management. It also uses homomorphic hashing to ensure integrity verification without decrypting sensitive data and a dual Merkle tree-based proof of Retrievability for the assistance of efficient and tamper-evident auditing. To ensure enhanced system availability and fault tolerance, the Multi-Replica Integrated Cryptography model implements a dual-tree architecture to manage data replication over multiple cloud storage nodes. The simulations exhibited that the proposed Multi-Replica Integrated Cryptography model attained superior performance with 98.72% audit log tamper resistance, and lower values like 24.2 ms auditing time and encryption time of 12.4 ms.
