Satellite C: Executive Preservation in Conversational Systems
Satellite C is an operational instantiation of LOCUS Architecture within the domain of active conversational delegation. It begins from a structural distinction absent in ordinary automation theory: biological automation preserves embodied use, while fully externalized exocortical automation abolishes it. The user receives closure without exercising the capacity that generated it. This rupture is the mechanical origin of Frictionless Dependency. This technical note defines the runtime mechanisms required to preserve the Human Executive Locus under conditions of ongoing exocortical computation. It operationalizes AIsight (executive proprioception), the LIMES Sentinel (runtime monitoring of legitimate closure), and the Hormetic Friction Contract (a Soft LOCUS reference implementation). Furthermore, it establishes a new class of operational audit metrics (EOI, DPS, JDI, CASE, HCASI) designed to evaluate conversational systems not by cognitive ease or task completion, but by executive preservation and jurisdictional integrity.
