Binary Cosmogenesis

Every black hole may be a birth event — the compressed seed of a new universe, sealed from the one it formed in, inheriting the physics of its parent and adding its own particular twist. This paper asks what that twist is made of. The proposal: when two black holes spiral together, the direction of the inspiral — whether it turns left or right — imprints a handedness on the fused horizon. That handedness survives the bounce into the child universe, where it tips the early physics toward a slight preference for matter over antimatter. The reason our universe has matter in it — the reason you exist instead of a perfect cancellation — may be that the merger that made us turned one way rather than the other. This is a programme document, not a proof. The mechanism links Poplawski's Einstein–Cartan torsion bounce to the gravitational leptogenesis of Alexander, Peskin and Sheikh-Jabbari (2006) through the chirality of the merger — a connection not previously made. Four conditions the mechanism requires but has not yet established are stated explicitly: the chirality charge~K lacks a gauge-invariant definition (one that holds regardless of coordinate choice) satisfying all conditions for inheritance across the bounce; the proposed exterior measure (radiated net helicity~_ rad) is a candidate proxy, not a confirmed equal; the efficiency of APS leptogenesis in reaching the observed baryon-to-photon ratio (_B 10^-10) is disputed in three independent analyses; and the chirality imprint is generically erased by inflation without a surviving potential regime. The hypothesis that children inherit the parent's fundamental constants is explicitly withdrawn for lack of a mechanism. One prediction is active and testable now: the channel requires Majorana neutrino masses, directly testable at neutrinoless double-beta decay experiments such as CUORE, KamLAND-Zen, and nEXO. Revision history. BC 1.3 → BC 2.0 (June 2026). Scope narrowed: the paper now addresses only the chirality-to-leptogenesis conjecture. The four conditions the mechanism requires but does not yet establish are named explicitly rather than left as open questions between the lines. Lawbook recombination (“R”) — the conjecture that children inherit the parent’s physics constants — is withdrawn for lack of a proposed mechanism. The gravitational anomaly assignment (B−L vs. B+L) was corrected. Majorana neutrino mass is now stated as a prerequisite for the APS channel rather than a consequence. Model A (kick-driven rolling from the bounce’s Pontryagin charge) and Model B (continuously-sourced by the inflationary gravitational-wave background, as in APS) are distinguished; BC proposes Model A, the model for which no dedicated efficiency calculation yet exists.
