BRYOMOLECULES - D6.3 Data Management Plan, first version

This first version of the Data Management Plan sets the basis for the future development of thecomplete plan forecasted at month 35 (D6.8). As such it has the goal to provide a live documentthat allows the Consortium to periodically revise and adapt the management of the produceddata The data collected and generated by the BRYOMOLECULES project will be instrumental to fuel inthe years to come the development of novel bio-based products based on bryophyte-derivednatural compounds, according to the concept of EU valorising biodiversity for EU bioeconomy.Data and associated metadata used and generated by BRYOMOLECULES will be managedaccording to this document (from now on, the Data Management Plan or “DMP”), developed bythe project management with all partners in compliance with the “Guidelines on DataManagement in Horizon Europe” and the “FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific data managementand stewardship” guidelines. In particular, the DMP describes (i) the type, format and volume ofthe generated data, (ii) the metadata and documentation provided to make it findable, interoperable and reusable, (iii) the preservation plan beyond the end of the project, (iv) themodalities of data sharing and licensing for re-use, (v) the resources allocated to datamanagement, (vi) data storage and back up policies during the active phase of the project, as wellas (vii) the handling of personal data. The DMP will be published and open access in draft form (D6.3 Preliminary Data ManagementPlan), and will be regularly revised to integrate changes/updates when appropriate, until the endof the project, when the final version will be released (D6.8 Data Management Plan final version). The DMP describes the management life cycle for the data/metadata to be collected, processedand/or generated by the project. In line with the FAIR and OpenScience principles, the data notcovered by IPR by Consortium partners and/or publication in scientific journals will be madeavailable adopting the CC BY-NC license for academic use, while commercial use outside of theConsortium will be negotiated case by case. Access in anonymized form to restricted data maybe granted for verification purposes only. Open access to data covered by IPR will be granted assoon as the IPR filing will be approved, or the scientific publications will be accepted. Acceptedmanuscripts will be deposited as soon as possible, and at the latest 6 months after publication. Do you want to know more about BRYOMOLECULES? Abstract
