A Lag-Specific, Cluster-Sensitive Directional Association in Recent Global Seismic Catalogues
This Zenodo record contains the preprint manuscript, supplementary material, and reproducibility package for the study “A Lag-Specific, Cluster-Sensitive Directional Association in Recent Global Seismic Catalogues.” The study reports a retrospective, descriptive catalogue analysis of whether M≥5.8 global anchor events are followed by elevated M≥4 target-event counts in fixed directional partitions at an 8–14 day lag. The primary rules are West-to-East and South-to-North directional count associations. The analysis uses USGS ComCat, EMSC/SeismicPortal, and ISC Bulletin catalogues and includes random-date permutation tests, reverse-direction controls, anchor-shuffle falsification, phase-shift testing, magnitude sensitivity, anchor deduplication, and temporal block bootstrap. The associated reproducibility package contains analysis notebooks, derived result tables, configuration files, result summaries, figures, manifests, and checksums. Raw catalogue dumps and event-level catalogue files are excluded; source catalogues are publicly available from USGS ComCat, EMSC/SeismicPortal, and ISC Bulletin. This is a research-only descriptive catalogue study. It is not earthquake prediction, earthquake early warning, a public alert system, or evidence of causal directional stress transfer.
