Beyond Regional Centrism: No Exceptions, Only Universals
This chapter critiques the African Replacement and East Asian continuity models, arguing that both suffer from geographic centrism. Synthesizing principles from Mayr, Gould, and Vandermeer, we demonstrate that the 35°–40°N latitudinal belt acted as the primary “tempering zone” during the Pleistocene. We review seven independent physical and biological barriers that falsify the “Out‑of‑Africa” narrative. We conclude that Homo sapiens verus is a product of universal evolutionary laws — specifically the Intermediate Disturbance Hypothesis and biogeographic constraints — rather than any single continental origin.
