Structural Gravitational Waves v1.3: Waveform Modeling Framework

Structural Gravitational Waves v1.3: Waveform Modeling Framework This release presents v1.3 of the Structural Gravitational Waves (SGW) series and introduces an illustrative waveform modeling framework designed to support precision population analyses developed in SGW v1.2. The framework extends the previous statistical inference pipeline by providing a physics-motivated structural waveform generation layer based on an illustrative structural field formulation. It includes: Structural waveform generation from the structural field to detector strain ε-dependent quasi-normal mode (QNM) frequency and damping-time shifts Higher-order modes, overtones, and structural dephasing Precession and spin-orbit coupling framework Numerical relativity interface with illustrative ε-injection Surrogate waveform architectures (GP, Neural Network, ROM) Adaptive metric-guided template bank construction Unified treatment of waveform, calibration, PSD, and non-stationarity systematics Drop-in compatibility with the SGW v1.2 hierarchical Bayesian inference framework Illustrative computational scaling using GPU acceleration Waveform validation battery (W1–W5) Roadmap toward detector-network integration (v1.4) This repository contains: SGW v1.3 manuscript (PDF) Figure set (Fig.1–Fig.16) Python demonstration script reproducing illustrative examples Documentation (README) Important note All numerical values, waveform examples, mismatch targets, computational benchmarks, validation results, and performance estimates are illustrative and are intended solely to demonstrate the proposed framework. They do not represent analyses of actual LIGO–Virgo–KAGRA observational data or numerical-relativity surrogate training. This work is released as part of the ongoing Structural Gravitational Waves research program.
