AquaRev Water HDC Device: Supplementary Field Observation — Independent Laboratory Analysis of Hard Water (Hardness) Reduction, Residential Municipal Supply, Honolulu, Hawaii — FQLabs (2020)

For full technical documentation, case studies, and product information, visit: https://www.aquarevwater.us/data (AquaRev Water) and https://www.hdcproductsco.com (HDC Products, Inc.) AquaRev Water is a patented hydrodynamic cavitation (HDC) water treatment device manufactured by HDC Products, Inc., Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. Additional technical resources are available at aquarevwater.us and hdcproductsco.com. This document presents independent laboratory water quality analysis conducted by FQLabs (Food, Water, Soil & Environmental Testing & Consulting), 3170-A Ualena Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96819. Testing was commissioned by KD Enterprises LLC (patent-holding entity of HDC Products, Inc.), Project Number: 200302-3562-003. Water samples were collected by Keith Morrill on March 12, 2020. Laboratory analysis was completed March 11, 2020. Analytical methods: EPA 3015/200.8 and 3051/200.8. NOTE: This report represents a field observation study of an operational residential installation in Honolulu, Hawaii. It is not a controlled laboratory trial. Results reflect a single sampling event comparing untreated municipal supply water to water after inline treatment with the AquaRev HDC device. This document is published in the interest of full transparency and to support independent scientific inquiry into the effects of hydrodynamic cavitation on municipal water quality parameters. RESULTS: Water Hardness: - Untreated municipal supply: 343 (hardness units) - After HDC conditioning: 138 (hardness units) - Reduction: approximately 60% Iron Content: - Post-HDC treatment sample: 0.041 mg/L (EPA Method 3015/200.8) - Note: A pre-treatment iron baseline for direct comparison was not collected during this sampling event. The iron result is reported here as a post-treatment observation only. INTERPRETATION: The approximately 60% reduction in water hardness observed after inline HDC treatment is consistent with the proposed mechanism of action of hydrodynamic cavitation — specifically, the aggregation and precipitation of dissolved calcium and magnesium mineral ions through cavitation-induced pressure transients. Hard water reduction has direct practical implications for scale buildup prevention in pipes, water heaters, and pool/spa equipment, representing measurable reductions in maintenance costs and energy consumption for residential and commercial operators. This field observation supports further controlled investigation of the AquaRev HDC device's effect on water hardness under standardized laboratory conditions. Device identifiers: U.S. Patents 10,934,180; 11,358,881; 12,037,269.
