The Binariness of the Logical Sign as an Analytic Property of Distinguishing

This project hosts the manuscript "The Binariness of the Logical Sign as an Analytic Property of Distinguishing" and its associated materials. The work defends a presemantic and syntactic thesis about the logical sign: that its binariness is neither a conventional stipulation nor an informational convenience, but an analytic property of the act of distinguishing, prior to all interpretation and to all truth value. It reconstructs three traditions (distinction as a founding operation, the iterable trace, and the bit) as three descriptions of a single act, derives binariness in Boghossian's (1996) epistemic sense of analyticity, and extends the analysis to a second case, unique readability, showing it to be an inheritance of the freedom of the generation. The position is situated as the inverse complement of Champagne's (2022) pragmatic defence of bivalence, and is delimited against Suszko's Thesis, informational realism, and the economy of the base. The repository gathers the versions of the manuscript and will be updated as the work develops; comments and scholarly correspondence are welcome.
