The genome sequence of the Silver Colonel, Odontomyia argentata (Fabricius, 1794) (Diptera: Stratiomyidae)

<ns5:p> We present a genome assembly from an individual female <ns5:italic>Odontomyia argentata</ns5:italic> (Silver Colonel; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Stratiomyidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 1 950.48 megabases and 1 937.58 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (95.92%) is scaffolded into 6 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 17.0 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. </ns5:p>

Abstract

</ns5:p>
