Demonstration cases integrating material mapping datasets, waste prediction, new data standard and blockchain-driven order-delivery solution including validation of these technologies (Road Case) – PART A

The third RECONMATIC demonstrator represents a pivotal validation of digital and circular solutions for Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) management, specifically tailored for high-performance transport infrastructure. While previous demonstrators focused on static building structures, Demonstrator #3, centred on the Masaryk Circuit (Masarykův okruh) in Brno, Czech Republic, addresses the dynamic and high-precision requirements of racing track refurbishment. The core of this demonstration is the implementation of the SmoothRide system — an integrated end-to-end solution for high-speed road scanning, digital surface modelling, and variable-depth milling. The validation results at the Masaryk Circuit demonstrate that the RECONMATIC and SmoothRide method significantly reduces material waste, optimizes logistics by providing exact tonnage forecasts, and ensures superior surface evenness (measured by the International Roughness Index - IRI). This deliverable provides a comprehensive technical roadmap for the digitalization of road infrastructure deconstruction, bridging the gap between raw reality capture and machine-controlled execution within a circular economy framework.
