The genome sequence of the 16-spot Ladybird, Tytthaspis sedecimpunctata (Linnaeus, 1758) (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae)
<ns5:p> We present a genome assembly from an individual male <ns5:italic>Tytthaspis sedecimpunctata</ns5:italic> (16-spot Ladybird; Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Coccinellidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 355.68 megabases. Most of the assembly (88.7%) is scaffolded into 10 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 18.38 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. </ns5:p>
