Entrepreneurs' Well-Being and Innovation in Crisis: A Behavioral Ecology Approach Grounded in Costly Signaling Theory.
The purpose of this research study is to examine how entrepreneurs’ well-being and mental health impact the generation of signals that drive business innovation under distressed conditions. Grounded in Zahavi’s (1975) concept of costly signals and the handicap principle and integrating insights from biological and economic signaling theories, the paper proposes an innovative signaling framework.
