Smart Human Intrusion Exit and Localization Device (S.H.I.E.L.D)

Security monitoring in remote and restricted areas has become increasingly important due to the rise in unauthorized intrusions and the limitations of conventional surveillance systems. This paper presents the Smart Human Intrusion Exit and Localization Device (S.H.I.E.L.D.), an IoT-based security system that combines intrusion detection, long-range communication, and location tracking. The proposed system utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller, LoRa SX1278 communication module, GPS NEO-6M/NEO-7M receiver, and intrusion detection sensors to detect unauthorized human presence and transmit alerts over long distances. Upon detection of an intrusion, the system acquires real-time GPS coordinates and communicates the information through LoRa technology, enabling reliable monitoring even in areas without internet or cellular connectivity. The system offers low power consumption, high reliability, long communication range, and accurate localization capabilities. Experimental implementation demonstrates that the proposed solution provides an effective, scalable, and cost-efficient approach for modern security and surveillance applications.
