A programme of archaeological investigation, land at Stafford Road, Penkridge
A programme of archaeological investigation comprising geophysical survey followed by trial trench evaluation on land at Stafford Road, Penkridge, Staffordshire. A total of 3 trial trenches were excavated in locations approved by the County Archaeologist. An examination of these revealed a relatively undisturbed stratigraphy throughout the investigation area. No pre-modern archaeological remains or artefacts were present.
