The genome sequence of the Pygmy Soldierfly, Oxycera pygmaea (Fallen, 1817) (Diptera: Stratiomyidae)
<ns5:p> We present a genome assembly from an individual male <ns5:italic>Oxycera pygmaea</ns5:italic> (Pygmy Soldierfly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Stratiomyidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 807.31 megabases. Most of the assembly (98.39%) is scaffolded into 7 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X and Y sex chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.72 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. </ns5:p>
