Wave-Based Entropy-Free Compression: A Predictive Lossless Compression Model in the Pure Integer Domain

Lossless data compression traditionally relies on statistical entropy coders such as Huffman coding or Arithmetic coding, which require computing floating-point probabilities or maintaining large dynamic tables. In this paper, we propose a novel predictive lossless compression method, Wave-Based Entropy-Free Compression, operating entirely with integer arithmetic. The method utilizes a deterministic MultiBeeSketch neural predictor initialized identically on both the compressor and decompressor. Instead of encoding the raw data stream, we encode prediction outcomes: a single bit represents a correct prediction, while incorrect predictions are encoded as distance offsets in the predictor's internal count rank.
