The Born Rule as a Closed Record Pair: Measurement, Objectivity, and the Arrow of Time in a Quantum-Error-Correcting Substrate
This canon-synchronised note updates the Born-rule account in the It-from-Bit/QEC substrate programme. It argues that, inside the accepted complex quantum-error-correcting record substrate, Born weights are closed by two routes: stabiliser non-contextuality plus Gleason-type uniqueness, and the closed-record-pair/Stinespring recording calculation in which orthogonal record sectors leave the diagonal AA*. The paper also separates this closure from the deeper reconstruction floor: why nature is a complex, locally tomographic, record-writing QEC Hilbert system with the monitored service alphabet. 2026-06-21 canon refresh: This version incorporates the 2026-06-21 ANCHOR/DRIFT/PTMS canon refresh and rebuilt local PDF. 2026-06-25 canon refresh: Updated to current Born/record-action canon, rebuilt, copied to website, and published to Zenodo. 2026-06-21 canon refresh applied where needed; PDF rebuilt and checked. Zenodo-synced on 2026-06-21: new-version published as 10.5281/zenodo.20786081 (concept 10.5281/zenodo.20771633).
