Post-Scabies Systemic Demodex Overpopulation Co-occurring with Squamous Cell Carcinoma: Novel Clinical Observations, Treatment Protocol, Patient Experience, and Proposed Therapeutic Concepts

This document presents a documented self-case report of Henry Thomas Davis (DOB July 10, 1963, age 62, Orlando, Florida), an adult male with extensive international travel history and multiple ectoparasite exposures, who developed what is believed to be systemic Demodex mite overpopulation following confirmed scabies infestation and treatment approximately 18 months prior. The patient subsequently received a diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the right temple confirmed by biopsy on May 14, 2026, with Mohs micrographic surgery scheduled June 25, 2026 under the care of Dr. Joseph Kamel Francis MD, with dermatological oversight by Dr. Julia Fortier MD, at the University of Florida Shands Dermatology Department, Gainesville FL.
