Editorial

In my capacity as Editor-in-Chief, I would like to introduce you to the inaugural issue of Parikalpana: Journal of Sustainability, Business and Social Innovation (PJSBSI), an established journal that aims to publish original and innovative research in business management, bridging theory and practice. This journal is published by Emerald Publishing on behalf of the School of Management of the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), one of the highest-ranked universities in India, located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Established 21 years ago, Parikalpana has consistently upheld high academic standards. The journal is indexed in the UGC-CARE list as well as in internationally recognized databases such as EBSCO, ProQuest, and J-Gate. Judging from the high quality of the articles included in this inaugural issue, PJSBSI promises to become one of the most prestigious journals of its kind in India.It is my great honor and pleasure to serve as the Editor-in-Chief of this journal because, although I am based in Japan, I have close ties with many Indian scholars and institutions and a strong interest in the Indian economy. In fact, in 2017, I published an article on the impact of pre-marital sex ratios on the household saving rates in India and South Korea (Horioka and Terada-Hagiwara, 2017).I would like to encourage all readers to submit their latest articles to this journal for our consideration. Articles about any aspect of management practices, sustainable development, innovation, business ethics, inclusivity and corporate responsibility are welcome Theoretical or conceptual articles, empirical articles, case studies, literature surveys, book reviews and any other type of article are also welcome. Moreover, please note that PJSBSI is published under a Diamond Open Access (OA) arrangement and that all costs associated with publishing an OA article in PJSBSI are funded by KIIT. There is no charge to authors.
