DIFFERENCE METRICS v1.0 EN
DESCRIPTION Document No. 4.3 – Difference Metrics v1.0 EN is the third volume of the Formal Differentics Mathematical Corpus and establishes the quantitative foundations for measuring Difference as a fundamental mathematical entity. Building upon Difference Information Theory and Difference Algebra, this work develops a formal metric framework in which Difference is treated as a measurable quantity rather than merely a logical distinction. The document introduces Difference Spaces, Difference Metrics, Difference Magnitudes, Difference Vectors, Difference Tensors, Difference Curvature, Difference Entropy, and the Universal Difference Index as core mathematical tools for quantitative Difference analysis. The theory defines axiomatic requirements for Difference measurement, including identity, positivity, symmetry, and triangle principles, and extends these concepts to informational, structural, dynamic, and recursive systems. Special attention is given to the metric interpretation of the ADP–TRIFORMER framework, where transformations are evaluated through measurable Difference magnitudes. Difference Metrics provides a unified mathematical framework for quantifying similarity, divergence, transformation intensity, structural deviation, recursive diversification, and system evolution. The work serves as a foundational bridge between Difference Algebra, Difference Geometry, Difference Information Theory, and future empirical applications of Differentics. This publication forms part of the broader Differentics research program, which investigates Difference, relations, interactions, and recursive transformations as universal principles underlying information, structure, dynamics, and complexity across natural, formal, and artificial systems.
