Review of the Cooperative Institute for Earth System Research and Data Science (CIESRDS)
At the request of the NOAA Science Advisory Board, we conducted an external science review of the Cooperative Institute for Earth System Research and Data Science (CIESRDS) with the onsite visit on March 17 and 18, 2026, in Boulder, Colorado. We evaluated the cooperative institute’s science plan, the quality and impact of its scientific research, the effectiveness of its education and outreach activities, and the strength of its science management and governance practices.
