The genome sequence of the Early Reveller, Diurnea fagella (Denis & Schiffermuller, 1775) (Lepidoptera: Lypusidae)

<ns5:p> We present a genome assembly from an individual male <ns5:italic>Diurnea fagella</ns5:italic> (Early Reveller; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Lypusidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 662.70 megabases. Most of the assembly (99.87%) is scaffolded into 15 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.38 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 14 400 protein-coding genes. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. </ns5:p>
