Occluded Convergence Theory

New preprint: Occluded Convergence Theory (OCT) What is ordinarily called "luck" is not a gap left over once causal explanation runs out. This paper argues that it is the confirmed product of a convergence: multiple independent factors, each unobservable from the position of the party concerned, jointly bringing an outcome into being. The paper develops this through a three-axis structure (𝒩, H_i, Ω), distinguishes it from both chance and determinism, and situates it against ten independent lineages, from Leibniz's principle of sufficient reason to relational quantum mechanics and autopoiesis, without depending on or extending any one of them. Abstract
