Blockchain based randomized trusted node routing model in wireless sensor network

Without the need for costly cabling or other installation, a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is formed when a large number of battery-operated, small, and cheap sensor nodes are deployed in a random or predetermined pattern. These nodes collect data about the local environment and physical characteristics. To guarantee the safety and efficacy of wireless sensor networks' routing, a reliable routing protocol is essential. In order to improve the security of data transmission between routers, researchers have explored a number of options. However, dynamically recognizing the untrusted actions of routing nodes makes practical implementation of most routing methods challenging. When it comes to preventing attacks from malicious nodes, there is presently no infallible solution. This research suggests a blockchain-based trustworthy routing strategy for WSNs as a solution to these problems. With the blockchain, all nodes in the routing process can be tracked and the data can't be altered. In this paper, a Blockchain based Randomized Trusted Node Routing (BRRTNR) Model is proposed to provide a secured and trusted route for securing the transmitted data in WSN. When untrusted or malicious nodes enter the network, determining the proper routing path becomes more difficult. The nodes which are selected for routing will be stored in blockchain to avoid and to identify malicious actions by the nodes. This model employs a node as a Token Allocation and Maintenance Authority (TAMA) for calculation of trust factor of nodes in WSN. The proposed model achieves 97% trusted route detection accuracy for secure data transmission in the WSN. The proposed model when contrasted with the traditional models exhibit better performance in detection of secured route.
