The High-z Verdict: GCFT Confronts JWST Across a Three-Regime Redshift Ladder from z = 9 to z = 30
We confront the halo mass function predictions of General Coherence Field Theory (GCFT) against JWST observations of the high-redshift galaxy population. Using 71 UV luminosity function data points from six JWST surveys (~3,000 galaxies, ~6,200 arcmin², z = 9–15), we convert to halo mass constraints via the stellar-to-halo mass relation and diagnose the star formation efficiency required under each model. Three regimes emerge: Concordance (z ≤ 12, models indistinguishable), Transition (z ~ 14–15, GCFT provides 2× SFE relief), and Decisive (z > 20, 4–22× divergence). We pre-register: a spectroscopically confirmed galaxy with M* > 10⁸ M☉ at z > 25 would be expected under GCFT (~0.03/field) but excluded under ΛCDM (~0.003/field).
