The paper studies intermittent rivers in Lithuania under the influence of climate change and human pressure. The author notes increasing global attention to non-perennial rivers because rising air temperature and changing precipitation patterns increase drought frequency. For Lithuania, at least five zero-flow days per year were selected as the criterion. Hydrological observations showed that since 1950, 17 Lithuanian rivers have dried up for at least one year and had at least five zero-flow days.
