Outside Front Cover: Toward Multi(radio)Metalated DNA: Enzymatic Polymerization of Metal‐Chelate‐Modified Deoxyribonucleoside Triphosphates
Radioactive DNA is decorated with medical isotopes through enzymatic synthesis. Metal-chelator nucleotides (amber/blue bases) are incorporated at programmable positions by DNA polymerase. Amber spheres with paired antiparallel rays represent PET isotopes (68Ga) emitting antiparallel photons; blue spheres depict therapeutic radiometals (111In, 161Tb, 177Lu) with distinct emission patterns. This platform exploits DNA's programmability to create multi-metal theranostics. More in the Research Article (e1429706), David M. Perrin and co-workers.
