The Curriculum Lattice: Mapping Learning Continuums, Misconception Propagation, and Concept Dependencies Across the Australian Curriculum

The Curriculum Lattice project investigates the Australian Curriculum as an interconnected educational ecosystem. The work develops a network-based representation of curriculum concepts, learning continuums, conceptual invariants, and misconception pathways. The publication proposes a curriculum architecture that allows educators, researchers, and policymakers to examine how knowledge develops longitudinally from Foundation to Year 12. Particular attention is given to the identification of prerequisite concepts, cross-disciplinary dependencies, and recurring misconceptions that may impede later learning. This publication forms part of the broader Curriculum Lattice research program conducted by the Adamson Research Institute.
