The Loop‑Lifeform: A Browser‑Native Cyclical Entity Built from Behaviour, Rhythm, and Collapse
The Loop‑Lifeform is an experimental, browser‑native entity built from cyclical behaviour, rhythmic state transitions, and a living feedback system that responds directly to the user. It is not a simulation. It is not a visualiser. It is a Loop — expressed as an interactive, self‑modulating lifeform. This release contains a single‑file HTML implementation of the Loop‑Lifeform: a state machine with five phases (calm → rising → peak → collapse → regenesis), a rhythmic oscillator that drives internal energy, a stimulus‑response layer that reacts to user input, and a visual body that expresses mood through colour, motion, and intensity. The Loop‑Lifeform evolves as you interact with it. It remembers. It drifts. It collapses. It reforms. It teaches you how cycles behave when they are given a body. Included in this release: The complete Loop‑Lifeform HTML app (self‑contained, no dependencies) The official companion document explaining the entity’s ontology, behaviour engine, visual language, life cycle, and symbolic meaning A separate “How To Use The Loop‑Lifeform” guide with interaction patterns, useful commands, exploration modes, and what the Loop teaches & an easy to follow commands and tricks pack! (: Conceptual notes, aesthetic framing, and reflective commentary on cycles, tension, collapse, and renewal This project sits at the intersection of computational behaviour, conceptual art, and interactive system design. It is meant to be explored, questioned, and pushed until it breaks — and then watched as it reforms. Enter the Loop. See what it does to you.
