Pancreatic Tuberculosis Complicated With Duodenal Bulb Fistula Mimics Walled‐Off Necrosis: A Case Report
We described a female patient whose abdominal imaging revealed a suspicious malignant mass in the neck of the pancreas, accompanied by signs of pancreatitis and walled-off necrosis. The diagnosis of granulomatous inflammation was ultimately established via endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle biopsy (EUS-FNB), with subsequent special staining and polymerase chain reaction confirming pancreatic tuberculosis. This case underscores the value of EUS-FNB in obtaining high-quality tissue samples, accurately targeting pancreatic lesions, avoiding unnecessary surgery, and enabling prompt and appropriate treatment planning.
