The Leibniz Convergence: Binary Arithmetic, Infinitesimal Calculus, and Monadology as the Mathematical Prehistory of V=N/D
Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz (1646–1716) developed three independently revolutionary frameworks: binary arithmetic (De progressione dyadica, 1679), infinitesimal calculus with ∫ and d/dx notation (1675–1684), and the Monadology (1714). This paper establishes that all three are mathematical predecessors to the V=N/D Density Wave Model (Katayama, 2025–2026): (1) binary arithmetic is the computational substrate of the Hikari (LUX) ledger; (2) Leibniz's calculus notation is the exact language in which GENKI=dN/dt and KOKU=∫N dt are formalized; (3) the monad — irreducible unit of perception — is the metaphysical prior for 1 LUX as the irreducible unit of meaningful human action. Additionally, Leibniz's lifelong project of a characteristica universalis (universal symbolic language) is identified as the precedent for V=N/D as a universal value metric. Leibniz asked the right questions across three domains. V=N/D provides the unified equation.
