Investigation of Artificial Intelligence Attitudes, Decision-Making Styles, and Leadership Self-Perception Among Midwifery Students

Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the relationships between attitudes toward artificial intelligence, decision-making styles, and leadership self-perception among midwifery students. Methods: This cross-sectional and correlational study was carried out with 250 students enrolled in the Midwifery Department of Giresun University during the 2025–2026 fall semester. Data were collected using the Student Information Form, the General Attitudes toward Artificial Intelligence Scale (GATAIS), the Melbourne Decision-Making Styles Scale (MD-MSS), and the Self-Perceived Leadership Behaviors of Undergraduates Scale (S-PLBUS). Descriptive statistics, t-test, MWU, ANOVA, correlation, and hierarchical regression analyses were used. Results: The mean age of the students was 20.90±3.03 years. The mean scale scores of the participants were 65.43±6.70 for GATAIS, 5.05±1.30 for MD-MSS-I, 27.92±7.34 for MD-MSS-II, 32.97±7.58 for the total MD-MSS, and 75.78±11.16 or S-PLBUS. Significant differences were found in attitudes toward artificial intelligence, decision-making styles, and leadership self-perception scores according to marital status and class level (p
