Inorganic–Organic Synergistic Ternary Composite Film Materials for High-Performance Flexible Sensors: CoMoO 4 -Enhanced Polyaniline/Poly(butylene succinate)

In order to reduce the pollution of electronic waste, mixed-acid doped polyaniline (TSPANI) was prepared via in situ solution polymerization. TSPANI and cobalt molybdate (CoMoO 4 ) were then blended with a poly(butylene succinate) (PBS) solution to fabricate a degradable polymer composite with favorable inorganic–organic synergistic conductive properties, denoted as CoMoO 4 /TSPANI/PBS. The successful preparation of PANI, TSPANI, and CoMoO 4 was confirmed by UV–vis spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). CoMoO 4 and TSPANI/PBS are combined through intermolecular forces, and their overall performance is enhanced via an “inorganic–organic bidirectional synergistic effect”. The addition of an appropriate amount of CoMoO 4 improves the thermal stability performance of the film and at the same time improves the electrical conductivity of the film; when the addition of CoMoO 4 is 3%, the semicircular arc diameter is the smallest, which indicates that the charge transfer resistance is the smallest and the electrical conductivity is the best when the addition of CoMoO 4 is 3%. As the film is bent and twisted, the film still has excellent electrical conductivity and degrades up to 27.6% in 42 days by enzymes and up to 28.2% by soil. In human motion detection, as the human joints change, the sensor can capture the changes well and give the corresponding current response. The formation of this composite material can be used as a substitute for nondegradable polymers, which reduces e-waste pollution and is of great significance in terms of environmental protection.
