Varroa Acoustic Detection Manual – Field Edition v1
This Version 1 manual is built from detailed documentation taken before, during, and after a real varroa infestation, treatment, and recovery in my own hive. It brings together the acoustic patterns, tone shifts, and behavioural changes that showed up consistently across the full event. The focus is early detection: recognising the subtle, repeatable patterns that emerge well before visible symptoms, and understanding how those tones evolve as the hive moves through stress, treatment, and stabilisation. The guide is written as a practical field tool, based entirely on what proved reliable in day‑to‑day monitoring — clear cues, pattern notes, and a workflow that can be used directly at the hive.
