Receitas do impróprio em Oswald de Andrade: “É comê bebê pitá e caí”
This essay takes Oswald de Andrade’s poem “Relicário” as its object of analysis, with the aim of reflecting on the figurations of the proper and the improper, both along the national/foreign axis and within the tension between the modern and the archaic, as articulated through the poem’s food-related references. The discussion unfolds through a dialogue with the contemporary poetry of Ana Martins Marques and a critical assessment of Oswald de Andrade’s reception, with particular attention to the reflections of Roberto Schwarz, Haroldo de Campos, and Alexandre Nodari. The essay argues that the tensions elaborated by the poem do not move toward synthesis or resolution, but rather toward an impasse.
