Modular Access to Alkyl Germanes Via Ni-Catalyzed Regioselective Reductive Arylgermylation of Activated Alkenes
Herein, we report a modular and practical nickel-catalyzed reductive arylgermylation of activated alkenes by employing readily available aryl/vinyl (pseudo)halides and commercial chlorogermanes. A broad range of activated alkenes with diverse functional groups are well-compatible under mild reaction conditions, delivering a series of valuable alkylgermanes in high efficiency. Notably, synthetically useful 1,1-borylgermyl compounds, which have been validated as versatile building blocks, can be efficiently assembled via this protocol, further demonstrating the synthetic utility of this method.
