A Staged Internal Ramp Hypothesis for Pyramid Construction: A Disappearing Construction System Model

This working paper presents a staged internal ramp hypothesis for pyramid construction. The core proposal is that ramps may have been used in short internal or integrated sections, then filled in, built over, and hidden by the completed pyramid structure and outer casing. The hypothesis also considers why some evidence may be difficult to identify today, including reuse, removal, decay of organic construction materials, and later surface loss. This document does not claim proof. It presents a construction model for discussion, criticism, visualisation, and future testing.

Abstract

This working paper presents a staged internal ramp hypothesis for pyramid construction. The core proposal is that ramps may have been used in short internal or integrated sections, then filled in, built over, and hidden by the completed pyramid structure and outer casing. The hypothesis also considers why some evidence may be difficult to identify today, including reuse, removal, decay of organic construction materials, and later surface loss. This document does not claim proof. It presents a construction model for discussion, criticism, visualisation, and future testing.
