Bangor Herp Soc: Bridging Science and Passion
The Bangor University Herpetological Society (or Herp Soc) was founded by students at Bangor University in 2005 as a student run organisation, prior to the establishment of the Zoology with Herpetology degree, at the University. We primarily act as an outlet for people who are both interested in or want to better develop their knowledge and understanding of herpetofauna. Open to all levels of knowledge and interest (whether you’re a hardcore herper or amateur anuran fan), we act as both a channe l for education, whilst also providing a place for like-minded people to socialise. We currently average around 30 weekly attendees; however, this number tends to fluctuate when we have specialist speakers, events or field trips.
