The effects of high-performance work systems, entrepreneurial self-efficacy, and location attractiveness on task performance in the hotel industry in Greece
This study investigates the primary factors influencing task performance in the hotel industry. An empirical survey was carried out. The sample consisted of 199 hotels’ owners. The correlations among variables were assessed by multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that entrepreneurial self-efficacy and selected dimensions of high-performance work systems (HPWS) namely, employee participation in decision-making and employment security have a positive impact on task performance in the hotel industry. This empirical study is one of the first to research the effects of entrepreneurial self-efficacy, destination attractiveness, and high-performance work systems on task performance within the Greek hotel industry.
