Public Data Verification of the Brain Low-Resistance Pathway Network
The core physical attributes of the brain—low-resistance pathway self-reinforcement, sleep maintenance window, and predictive coding—are currently dispersed across independent domains of neuroimaging, sleep science, and cognitive neuroscience. This paper proposes that they can be uniformly explained within a single physical framework: the brain is the physical region with the densest low-resistance pathways left by charge flow, and memory is not a function of the brain but the low-resistance pathways themselves. This paper uses three categories of public data—UK Biobank brain imaging data (n>40,000), published sleep deprivation meta-analyses (k=127, N=4,326), and default mode network PET/fMRI public data—to conduct independent statistical tests on three core corollaries. All test results support the corollary of the brain as a low-resistance pathway network. All tests use publicly available data and standard statistical methods and can be independently reproduced by any researcher. This paper presupposes no biological theory and only conducts statistical tests on public data.
