Longitudinal Cohort Study on Mid-Career Professional Trajectories and Template Adherence
Professional legibility—the structural condition wherein an individual’s output remains formally attributed, widely visible, and continuously relevant—is frequently compromised by organisational entropy. This longitudinal study examines the efficacy of the ASA (Attach, Surface, Adapt) framework in mitigating professional dependency among mid-career professionals. Over 24 months, a cohort of 120 professionals across the technology and financial services sectors in India was tracked to measure the correlation between structured maintenance protocols and external market optionality. Results indicate that professionals utilising formalised deployment templates demonstrated a 3.2-fold higher adherence rate to maintenance protocols compared to those relying on unstructured self-reporting. Furthermore, individuals maintaining a high Portability Index (high legibility, low dependency) reported a 62% higher incidence of unsolicited external opportunities within a 12-month window. These findings validate the ASA framework as a measurable, structural intervention against professional obsolescence and institutional absorption.
