Particles as Topological Kinks: From the Phi-MDL Field to the Standard Model Spectrum

In the Standard Model, elementary particles are fundamental objects defined by their quantum numbers, with masses as free parameters fitted to experiment. In the GTE (Generative Triple Evolution) framework, there is only one object: the Phi-MDL field, a quantum field with internal symmetry group F21 = Z7 ⋊ Z3 evolving on R^(3+1). Particles are not added separately — they emerge as localised excitations called topological kink solitons. The Phi-MDL potential has exactly seven degenerate minima forced by MDL selection, and particles arise as stable, localised twists where the field transitions from one vacuum state to another without being able to unwind. This tutorial explains how the Standard Model particle spectrum emerges from the topology of the Phi-MDL field, deriving particle identities and masses from first principles.
