The Asymptotic Fate of Spacetime in Ψ-Field Cosmology: Mitigating the Big Freeze via Cosmic Friction and Thermodynamic Hibernation
We investigate the long-term, asymptotic behavior of a universe governed by the modifiedscalar-tensor action of the Ψ-field. While the standard ΛCDM paradigm forces cosmic expansioninto an irreversible, eternal de Sitter phase leading to the absolute thermal isolation of the ”BigFreeze,” the introduction of a geometric damping mechanism (A ≈ 0.25295) alters the globalcosmic horizon in the far future (t → +∞). Numerical integration spanning 100 billion yearsdemonstrates that cosmic friction continuously dissipates the kinetic energy of the acceleratingdark sector. Consequently, the asymptotic Hubble parameter stabilizes at HΨ ≈ 58.99, representing a 29.45% reduction in the expansion velocity compared to the rigid Einsteinian vacuum(Λ → 83.62). This dynamic mitigation prevents the catastrophic causal tearing of large-scalestructures and bounds the cosmic horizon. Instead of entering complete thermodynamic death, the universe transitions into a stable, warm cosmic hibernation phase where internal geometry preserves structural coherent energy, offering a novel resolution to the ultimate fate of thecosmos.
