Addiction and Intoxicating Tendencies in Vedic Astrology and Numerology: A Traditional and Comparative Study

This paper presents a traditional and comparative study of addiction and intoxicating tendencies through the frameworks of Vedic astrology and numerology. By examining classical astrological texts, numerological doctrines, and Indian philosophical concepts of desire and attachment, the study develops an integrated symbolic model called the Traditional Symbolic Addiction Framework (TSAF). The research is intended as a contribution to the academic study of Indian knowledge systems, comparative esoteric traditions, and symbolic interpretations of human behaviour. It does not claim scientific causation but offers a historical and textual analysis of traditional interpretive systems.
